Position: Full-time

Location: Kearny Mesa/92123 (95% of the time); back-up support for our Carlsbad/92011 shop   

Salary: $26-28/hour (Based on experience)  

Shift Hours: M-F, 8:00am to 4:30pm with half-hour unpaid lunch (shift and shop hours may change)

Skills Required:  

• Previous management and customer service experience  
• Computer skills (familiarity with Word, Excel, PDFs; Photoshop would be a bonus)  
• Good writing skills/grammar in emails  
• Take charge attitude with inclination to think ahead  
• Experience with successfully supporting lead managers and owners  
• Print shop experience is a huge plus+  

General: Our environment is fast-paced with a myriad of tasks at any given time; this is not a desk job. Our shop’s process: take in production orders (most are digital, some arrive in paper format), produce them, bill them out, and then disperse to the customer (via our delivery service, front counter, and shipping).    

Duties:   

• Manage our front counter activity (help customers, take orders, bill out orders (process payment)  
• Sort orders in will-call, keep lobby tidy, order merchandise)  
• Manage our delivery driver fleet (assign drivers their routes, communicate with drivers via Nextel phones; manage the driver schedule, help maintain delivery logs and vehicles, schedule and complete vehicle maintenance, etc)  
• Oversee shop activity at all times (continually read the inbox/job queue; communicate with other Front of House managers) 
• Customer service (answer phones, emails, front counter inquiries)  Back-up production (assist with running jobs as needed)  
• Assist with employee reviews and addressing concerns  
• Help ensure jobs are completed accurately and on-time  
• Manage employees (performance reviews and concerns, assign jobs as needed to make due times, etc).
